London
The London workshops take place in the function room of The Grove, a pub in Hammersmith on the corner of Hammersmith Grove and Adie Road. The function room is upstairs on the first floor. Please note that the venue does not have disabled access.

Public transport
The nearest tube stations are Hammersmith, Goldhawk Road and Ravenscourt Park, each of which are around an 8-11 minute walk away.
Parking
Parking is available at the nearby Kings Mall Car Park (currently £12 for up to 9 hours), or on meters in the surrounding streets (£2.20 per hour).
Lunch
Lunch is not included as part of the workshop, so you can either bring your own, go out for lunch nearby, or eat in the pub (bar snacks are available from £4 and up and a full restaurant menu is available, including set menus from £12.95).
Croydon
Matthews Yard is located in the heart of Croydon’s Old Town and is adjacent to Surrey Street market. It is most easily accessed by public transport, using tram, bus or train (East Croydon and West Croydon).

Matthews Yard is a new road and is often not found on sat navs and maps. It sits within a square bordered by Surrey Street, Charles Street, Overton’s Yard and Scarbrook Road. This map gives a local perspective.
Directions from East Croydon Station (7 minutes’ walk)
Turn right out of the station and head down George Street. Cross Wellesley Road and continue along George Street and then down into Crown Hill. Turn left on to Surrey Street and walk through the market before turning right down Matthews Yard, which is towards the corner of Surrey Street.
Directions from West Croydon Station (8 minutes’ walk)
Turn left out of the main entrance and continue straight on to the pedestrianised part of North End. You will pass between the entrances to the Whitgift and Centrale shopping centres. After Allders, you will come to the Old Almshouses on the left. Here, turn right down Crown Hill and then left onto Surrey Street. Walk through the market before turning right into Matthews Yard.
Directions from Church Street Tram Stop (4 minutes’ walk)
Walk along Church Street, passing McDonalds and Argos on the right hand side of the road. Turn right into Surrey Street and continue along the road past The Dog and Bull pub and Overton’s Yard. Matthews Yard is a turning on the right after Overton’s Yard.

The nearest car park is two minutes’ walk away: Q-Parks Surrey Street Car Park in Charles Street (postcode: CR0 1TR).
Lunch
Lunch is not included as part of the workshop. Matthews Yard has a good range of sandwiches and daily specials, or you are welcome to bring your own food or go out for lunch nearby. There are several pubs, sandwich shops and coffee places nearby.
